re+swiss reconditioned SAKs

It looks like he reconditions knives and adds the super cool scales. Haven't bought anything from him yet, but the Tangerine one is calling my name. Prices look good too.

I have the black and tangerine.  They are nice, but the scales are slipery and the edges are a little sharp. 

He should have put the Tangerine on Ramblers at a minimum, waste of a custom scale on the Classic I think.  I have not tried removing the scales yet to see if they can be put on different knives but that is my plan.  I think I'm going to try to drill a few insets for grip as well.  The scales are thick enough as well that scale-tools could be accomodated if the equipment to cut the slots was available.

Nice Idea, but I'm looking forward to them evolving.

I had a quick converse with them about selling the handles separately after the first lot of knives went up, as I quite fancy adding some GITD gunk to the cut-out on the anodised handles.  I see they are now offering the handles separately but restricting the sales to the US   I've sent another message.

Heard back from them again yesterday ....

Hi - The listings you're seeing are for the complete
knife with handles. Handle-only listings are coming
next week, and I'll work-out the details on
international bidding as well

I'll invite them to come over here and play   We might be able give them pointers as to how these could evolve

Me Too!!  They are not very good at creating accurate ebay listings.  I hope I can get the handles off the knives.
