Good handle Tony, what's edge retention like on the blade?

Poor I reckon  ::)

Oh :(  Never mind, make it easy to sharpen out in the bush :D

Yesterday I actually found a SAK at Bottesford carboot :ahhh  and not a fake for a change ::)

Bit grubby and dull as you like but never sharpened so won't take long to bring back to good user status.

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Alas the previous owner has decided to clean the tools (except the main blade) with a scotch pad ::)  But I got it looking reasonable and with a bit of polish a pair of previously loved ruby scales finish it off nicely.  All sharpened up and read to roll :tu:

First gen then before they released it in anodised aluminium.  They get beat up just by looking at them wrong :)

They are apparently a swine to open up and work on.  If it looks like I'm likely to ruin it I'll just take the audio from the dock connector instead and hotglue it to the cassette adapter in the car :P

I've already viewed a dismantling video :tu:  We'll see how it goes.

Slightly back on track...  Sunday was a cracking boot sale and although that SAK was the only tool I picked up I did manage to get a pair of Mission 731 speakers for .... .... £2 :D  They are currently sat either side of my monitor and are a big improvement over the little JVC jobs that were there.  Really, really need a new amp now.  The hunt continues!
