For Fuzzy and Kev,

Thats some hard stuff!  :ahhh
I wasn't sure at first if it was wood or hard plastic
Didn't smell like wood or plastic when I was cutting it
So I set the sawdust on fire..... smelt like burning wood

Not 100 % sure about how the grain is running
Even with added mineral oil

Took a guess then took it to the band saw
Some of them turned out almost flat and parrallel  :tu:

I'm happy with that so far  :salute: :D

Do they play bowls much (or at all) in the states?

From Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowls :
Quote
Bowls are designed to travel a curved path because of a weight bias which was originally produced by inserting weights in one side of the bowl. This is no longer permitted by the rules and bias is now produced entirely by the shape of the bowl. A bowler determines the bias direction of the bowl in his hand by a dimple or symbol on one side. Regulations determine the minimum bias allowed, and the range of diameters (11.6 to 13.1 cm), but within these rules bowlers can and do choose bowls to suit their own preference. They were originally made from lignum vitae, a dense wood giving rise to the term "woods" for bowls, but are now more typically made of a hard plastic composite material.

I'm sure it is played in some areas and in Brit style pubs with outdoor areas. We do most of our bowling indoors.   Bocce is a more popular outdoor ball rolling game, but it isn't widely played either.  We go for more dangerous games like horse shoes and lawn darts.  ;)

One house I lived in we played bowls with golf balls down a very uneven hallway (the piles were stuffed) and the jack was a glass of beer.  :drink:

Pin press? I don't know
Its being cleaned at the moment,
It looks like it's made for different jobs depending on the 'tooling'?

The little stubby screwdriver is very smooth,  :tu:
And the locking pliers are very nice as well, they open to about 7.5mm

And down to about 0  :tu:

It could be an indicator stand but the only ones i've used have had a fixed upright

Nice find Tony!

What's the text on the locking pliers?   I've seen that plier type before, I think Bob has one.   Nice motors.  Do they work? What size?

I never see any Perfect Handles down here.   :(

Yes the motors and hoover all work, I will get those details tomorrow as well

The screwdriver is in not too bad condition just a little bent but better than some I've seen   ::)
