Estate sale buy,  the ratchet is a Craftsman 1/4 drive peat head ratchet with quick release button from 1981-83 (Type 7). The oil port on the top is something you don't see on more modern ratchets.  It came with 5 deep well sockets and parts of three sets of short sockets.  There were a couple of the really deep Craftman sockets in 1/2 drive along with a Snap-On deep socket.  The pruners include a Felco 2 and a vintage pair made in Italy.

I know it’s pushing the ropes, but if I ever get the pocket notebook and leather cover I'm after I want to put like a little plastic ruler in it for those must have measurements, but something like that would be perfect, but I just really added weight, probably the same weight of the notebook,, yet while looking online while typing this I saw the same thing in plastic, but that would mean thicker, and that I’d probably break it,,

Yet while look that up I found this little guy, like cute, totally flexible, multiuse, and no weight, it’s just 6” and the notebook I’m looking at is 5-1/2”, and I’d like it tucked away, so I could always snip an inch off and file it to make it as if it was a 5” :dunno: I just lose the 55-64 equivalents, which I’d probably never use..

Today's estate sale buy.  The hatchet on the right is a Craftsman.  The half hatchet on the left is an Estwing.  The two adjustable wrenches are P&C.  The 8-inch wrench is a Clik-Stop wrench.  The big find was the Meyerplier clamping pliers, a tool I have been hoping to find for a long time.

They are uncommon.  The idea is a good one, but evidently it solves a problem few people need solved.    Some third party here in the US  made a clamp that held a pair of Vise-Grips in a similar fashion.  Those clamps are also uncommon.  In the UK Mole grips mDe a similar clamp for a short period of time, but it is now out of production.

Today's estate sale buy.  The socket set is a Hinsdale TL10.  The DBE wrench is a Lectrolite Defiance.  The 12-inch adjustable is a Williams Superadjustable.  The tap handle is a Greenfield No. 6. Hidden right in the middle is an early Craftsman 1/4 breaker bar.

Hopefully they were in much better shape.  It appears to be an original Perfect Handle, but it is very abused.  I don't see them often.  This is only the third one I have seen in the wild.

Oh they were like new, my grandfather gave them to me back when I was like 12, I hated them as a norm screwdriver, but at the same time loved them as a beat the crap out of screwdriver cause the metal went all the way through to the end! Of course I no longer have them..

This weekend's estate sale buy is mostly clamps.  All but three clamps in this lot are Adjustable  brand clamps made in the US.  The 14.5 inch egg beater style hand drill is a Goodell Pratt, No. 1515.  Wrenches include Craftsman, Plomb, Proto, and Thorsen.  The Vise-Grips are 7R and 7WR.  The pick set is Mac Tools. The pliers are Proto Los Angeles which indicates they were probably made before 1958.

I want to build a strip wood canoe.  Takes a lot of small clamps so I have been buying them.  This lot of 24 clamps are all 1, 1.5, and 2 inch.

Holy crap, how big is the workshop/garage? I swear with as much goodies you find there’d be no space to work in it!

What, is that the trick? Are you trying to hoard the one workshop/garage all so you can have another one installed, totally custom, and you can use the old one as just storage??

Outside.  Also has the brass depth guage.  Probably the most ratchets I've bought at once. The Craftsman ratchest are a matched set with the VH makers mark. Manufactured between 1994-1997. My favorite buys in this lot are the acrylic hammer and the Screwball Sidekick pistol grip ratchet.
