The last Sak you'd part with and why?

Like the question say's, what would be the sak they prise from your cold, dead fingers ???

There's a good few I'd hate to be parted from, but if I had to pick just the one, it'd probably be the Blue Farmer my boy got me for Father's day, as it's the one knife he always ask's about, so it's come to mean a great deal to me :)

What about you guys?

Hmmmm, most useful for everything (leaving  out the keychain manager I EDC) I'd say the compact.

Not as cool or fun as say an alox model, but most useful to me and one I take on trips etc...

My Super Tinker, as it's riddled with pockmarks from my son teething on it during a long car trip :)

As for users, I'm falling in love with the Explorer.  The in-line Phillips is just too handy.  After I built them into my own Yo-Man-alike, it'll be that one :)
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

For purely sentimental reasons, it'd be my Wenger Viking.  My late grandmother helped me buy it when I was a pup, and it was my first SAK during the prime years of hero-worshiping Macgyver.  So, yeah, the Viking will be the last I ever give up.

My Super Tinker would be the second to last.  It'd be in my hand slashing at the people trying to get to my Viking.

My old Camper because I made the scales myself and its always with me when I'm in the veld.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

I won't part with any of the scibeer custom jobs.

The reason is obvious!!

Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169

If forced to give them up save one, I would probably keep my Ruby scaled Mountaineer. Although I'm sure there'd be heck to pay with my wife asking why I didn't keep the Champion Plus she bought for me.  :twak:

Reason is it is the smallest SAK that has the tools most useful to me.

I'd be split up between three:  the Vagabond that was my first SAK, my current Explorer Plus (or /a/ Explorer Plus, rather), or an OHT (in fact, the reason why I no longer have the combo packs of them for sale is because I can't get them at wholesale price anymore).

I have several SAK that were given to me over the years but I believe my LAST one to leave would be
a Camper that I gave my son and one day for Father's day he didn't have a gift and wrapped this up and gave it to me.

I tried to give it back or even trade him for something different but my wife gave me that look and if you are married you know that look. :ahhh

(Image removed from quote.)

that's absolutely beautifull.... good choice

as for me i think i could get along ok with only my cadet. it's the one i carry the most and
find usefull for my needs.

That's a tough one. I have 5-6 that I EDC, the Yeoman by far being the most frequent. But, if I could only have one EDC, I'd pick a Champion Plus.

Collection-wise, it's probably my 1930s 84mm Huntsman.

The last Sak you'd part with and why? This is hard question. But Yud´s answer helped me.  :)

Yes. My last SAK to part with would be my mod - OHunter GAK. Two knives in one and hours of modding process... Better never again. Every other knife I could buy in a second or two.

(The second one would be Forester from my wife or black SwissLite from my mother - hard to tell... )

The Champion I retired and in storage back home in the States.  It was my EDC I carried during OIF-1 in 2003.

This one replaced the Champion I bought NIB in 1986 at age 14, my first Victorinox SAK.  Alas, stolen in Alaska in 1995.

My translucent Sapphire Vic Classic.  My daughter picked it out for me one day at the store, and I have carried it everyday since.  It was on me the day I delivered my second daughter (yes, I got to deliver her myself, which was AWESOME!!!).  It is on my keychain, so it is ALWAYS on me (it ensures I don't leave home without it.  LOL.), and is always the first tool I reach for whenever I need a job taken care of.  No matter if I have my Leatherman Wave on me, my Vic Cadet, or anything else, the Classic is always on point.  I love this little thing.  I'll be buried with it.... if it makes it that long.

It would have to be my Vic Skipper, which BTW is my only SAK.
Even though it's made for fisherman, I quite like the tools it has to offer.
It;s serrated knife is awesome!  :sak:
