Wengers with fold out BIG pliers compared to plier based multitools

I am not talking about the small SAK pliers, but the big ones, like on the wenger knives (e.g. Mike Horn, Alinghi, Rangergrip 74.821.x, Ranger 70, 73, 74, 75, touring 174)

How do these tools compare to plier based multitools.

I love the concept of these pliers. BUT!!  They do open too wide.  In fact, I posted an open leter to Wenger about those pliers!!
