A Spark!
on: June 15, 2010, 05:09:59 PM
Well in a recent trade, I ended up with a Vic Clasic. My first SAK.

I cannot tell you how many knock offs I have used and seen and busted over the years. I have been anti sak for a rather long time and was not looking to change that. However the classic is awesome!!! Its hot a great snap to it, and incredible fit and finish. It is such a tight little unit. The tiny blade is razor sharp (how do you sharpen knives gunga?) and it just feels great. I think a spark has been set to give sak's a chance. I did enjoy the spirit so that should have helped.

Next up a super tinker once I save up enough!

A review of a classic, who expected that?

The Super Tinker is a great...gateway drug.  It was my first "normal sized" Vic, and I still think it's pretty cool...but there are now a Compact and an Explorer fighting for pocket space, with the Compact winning most of the time (can't beat the pen).  An Explorer Plus would probably be the bees knees, but I can't be bothered to leave well enough alone...
