It took me some time to find this knock off tool on eBay, but I finally managed to do it. It arrived today no less.
I must say this knock off Crunch gets most of it right. Thankfully, they neglected to give the handles the Leatherman touch. However, as you can see, they got it darn close in almost all aspects.
(The fit and finish isn’t near Leatherman’s. However, I must add, it isn’t all that bad either.)
(A good indicator that it isn’t a crunch, take a gander at those metal rivets. They aren’t as pretty as those found on the real thing.)
(The light never lies. The sheet metal on the knock off isn’t as good as that found on the real thing either. Note the rounded lighting effect on the one on the right.)
(The copy cat engineers must have been complaining about how complex it was to copy, that when it came time to copy the ruler, they said colourful enunciation it!)
(They even went so far as to copy the hex wrench once the bolt was removed.)
(The adjustment bolt on the copy rattles if I didn’t tighten it fully in storage.)
(Talk about a tight copy.)
(Some small variations in the tools…not anywhere as good as the Leatherman.)
(Wire stripper….check. They even copied the marking down to a T.)
(Some very minor differences in the pliers.)
(It is amazing at how close they copied the Leatherman Crunch. Thankfully, they didn’t bother to call it a Leatherman, adding even more dishonesty onto an already dishonest tool.)
