Pick n Pluck Foam Wanted
on: June 29, 2010, 06:33:46 PM
As my collection slowly but surely grows I want to keep them nice organised  :D

I really like the way Dave has organised his  :tu:

My collection would probably fill one drawer with space left over  :) Just want to keep everything in one place.

So anyone know where I can buy some pick n pluck foam?

These guys sell it, five sheets for £26.

Not sure if this a good deal or not but I really don't need five sheets  :-\  I guess if all else fails I could get the five sheets and find uses for them, like expand my multitool collection  :D

What dimensions do you need?
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Planning on getting this What do ya think?

Took a bit of searching to find a store that had it but I got there :D

Gives these dimensions:  Size (H)38, (W)60, (D)25cm  So I'm guessing 60cm x 25cm

Chris gave me some at the meet.  I'll grab a tape measure.

Looking at it you'll be fine height wise in the bottom tray and under the lid but its too tall to fit in the smaller drawers.  The foam is OK depth wise but not wide enough so you'd need to fit two pieces side by side.

If that sounds OK I'll pop some in the post :tu:

Only the bottom drawer on each of my toolboxes was deep enough for the foam I had - so you might want to factor that in too :)

EDIT: hah - as Neil just pointed out in fact!

EDIT again - both drawers I did comprise two pieces of foam side by side! If you cram it in tight - you won't even see the join :tu:
I used to come here a lot.

Sounds good to me kind Sir  :salute:

I will be organised  :ahhh

Any leftovers could be used in one of my other storage boxes, they are quite deep :D
