Hi, I'm new here, been trolling for a few weeks.

I have used the Multitool.org reviews as my main references when choosing the tools I now own. I'm pretty obsessive and love pouring over the well-written observations. I really love the Pictures too... I mean who doesn't want to stare at the size comparisons of Squirts vs Micras in every style shade and color???

When the Reviews were not enough and I was starting to re-read them, I found the forums as an ever RICHER source of living material to read, re-read and now participate in the conversation.

I look forward to many millions of clicks as I catch the latest awl-mod or tool review.

Take care all, and thanks for the great site!  :drink:

-Mike

I think the thing I like the most about the forums is the pure broad spectrum of the posters.  It ranges from fellows looking for just the one tool that will fit their needs, all the way up to completists who collect such a dazzling array of tools that it boggles the mind.  The wealth of information that flits around here daily is amazing.  It's a fun board to hang out on, as you'll learn something pretty much every time you log in, even if what you learn is amazingly esoteric.  It's like a treasure hunt to see what weird tool from the past or new doodad from the present will surface this week.

What really endears me to this place, though, is that it imbues you with a can-do mindset.  People are out there using their tools, actually putting their toys to work, and it is inspiring to others to do the same.  For me personally, some of the information here has helped motivate me to do some major home renovations and help around my mother's house, just to get my gear dirty.  It's rare that an internet forum actually motivates people to get *away* from their computer.

So hats off to MTO!
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

OK I have decided to up the ante & fund X2 Charter Memberships , so keep them coming :pok: :pok: :D

6 things I love about MTO
1.The wonderfully friendly welcome I received on joining
2.The endless help & advise I have been given
3.The jaw-dropping level of generosity that has been shown to me
4.The rare , wonderful & odd Multi Tools I can proudly call my own that I would never had a chance of owning with out being a member of MTO.
5.The sense of community, support & goodwill that is the foundation of MTO
6.Most importantly, the terrific friends I have made here, from ALL over the world

So come on, join in & have a chance of being a Charter member :D :D :D :D
Closes on the 23rd of this month & the moderators choose the lucky 2 new Charter Members.

Mat.

Some time after I joined this forum I realized about charter membership and I immediately tried to become one and help this forum, but unfortunately since there is no PayPal  in my country I failed in this ( as I failed in buying a lot of stuff from members of MT.O because of that), so I would gladly take the opportunity to become charter member.
And I would also like to thank to a number of members here on their help and generosity.

I like MTO because it is a great place to hang out.

The level of knowledge and the helpfulness of members is unsurpassed.

If the world was like MTO, it would be a nicer place for everyone.

To my shame I never bothered to get Charter Membership  :-[  I know if I am lucky enough to get this starter I'll be sure to keep it renewed  :tu:

I've been here since September 2009 and really became active just before Christmas. I may not post as much as others but I always try to contribute and help others where I can.

My favourite thing about Multitool.org would have to be the people  :salute:  It is a very close community where everyone knows your name. [Wait a minute, that's the Cheers intro lol] Considering we have members from all over the world we all know each other well through our love of shiny things. Rarely is a thread locked due to inappropriate language, etc. because there is a certain respect between us all; like family :D

Just like Zack my wife laughs too when I talk about my friends here; she also has difficulty believing someone I've never met, in another country would send me something for free. 'That's the MTO way' I tell her  :salute:

Second up would have to be the vast knowledge on here. Not just the literal nuts and bolts of tools but the opinions of varied users. One persons requirement may be very different to another and that is represented here  :tu:

Best of luck to all and thank you Matt to an innovative giveaway  :salute:

Did someone say Cheers?  :D
