A few of my Buck 110's
on: July 21, 2010, 07:50:58 PM
Over the last year I've bought some Buck 110's.  I thought I would share a few pictures of them
and a bit of what I've received info wise.
This knife was introduced in 1964.  The earliest one I have is from around 1967/8.  I have a
couple of new ones and the rest in between.  The earlier one's sported 440c steel, not
the 420HC as most of the standard new one's are now.  Madagascar Ebony scales were pretty
much the order of the day.  The older one's have the "all brass" at the end not inlayed with the steel.
The older one's as well, are "two pin" and the rocker rivet.  The new one's are "three pin" and the rocker.
The older one's as well have the "inverted stamp" of the company which reads "tip down."
Anyhow when it comes time to the Buck 110 knife there is a huge following on Blade Forums and they
are a great group of guys.  The moderator, is Joe Houser, from Buck knives, and they have a pretty good
"Sticky" there if you want to find out more about the knife.  Like we are with the Leatherman PST
crono thread, they have, and continue to do the same with the Buck 110.

Great collection bud, you got one hell of a assortment there. Good choice in the pattern as well!  :tu:

Have you seen the newer Buck EcoLite Paperstone 110's?

2tap, yeah those are lovely aren't they?  :tu:  I was in House of Knives the other day and spied
one but unfortunately due to time restraints I didn't get to check it out other than through the
glass.
