Cool pic  :tu:   :like:  Is that cerakote on the orange Wave?

I wish :facepalm: it is paint and very fragile :ahhh it still looks so great in person though  :drool: but I have seen many examples that aren't so great :ahhh the Micra had a similar paint finish at one time and LM should have learned from that but didnt :whistle: :D

Thanks Rich :hatsoff:

Great pics, Poncho?  Did Leatherman make a BO version of their first generation Wave?

I received a Wave+ in a trade.  The main blade wouldn't deploy easily, so I sent it in for repair.  They sent me this one back with a different looking plier head, some type of crimper or something.  :dunno:  I don't remember if it was there or not before sending it in.  :ahhh
I can't seem to find Leatherman selling this version anywhere.
Anyone have any information on this Wave+ with that plier?  Thanks in advance.
Date code looks to be 04 09 20.  Could that be?  Month, day, year?

They did put month day and year on some of them for a time :cheers: bot sure if they still do this or they stopped and no idea why they did this to begin with :think: :dunno:

It is a Tti Plus plier head and may be a leftover from after they stopped putting it on the Tti Plus earlier this year  :cheers: So, you have a rare one indeed :woohoo: :like:

Congrats FoBe :cheers: :tu:

Thank you Ponch,  I was noticing that you have a similar plier head in this one of yours.  Is it rare too?

Used my modded Wave with 3D Phillips and awl.  Happy to have a PBMT at the ready. Removed insulation around old heat ducts. It was wrapped every 2 feet with wire. Some of it was salvageable so untwisted it with pliers. Some of it was rusted so just snipped with wire cutters.

// Wave - Gen 1

This was the second Leatherman I ever owned and the first one I ever bought back in 2000.  After 23 years, a couple rad signatures, and a new old stock box, I’m proud to retire it to the collection.
