I have no idea where that came from. Way to many breathing meds and (prescribed) pain pills I guess. I'm a trip what can I say?

Normally, I don't have much love for Wenger. I've long felt they didn't feel right. But... I swung by the state store today, and found what appears to be a brand new Pocket Toolchest. I won't say how much it was, but there was change for a five. :P

So, I'm liking it so far, particularly when partnered with a Vic Compact. I've carried 58mm Vics from timeto time, but never kept them on my key ring for long because the blades weren't very big, or very strong (broken a couple of them), and the scissors left a bit to be desired. But the Pocket Toolchest's scissors, while feeling kinda squishy are big enough to be useful. The awl is kinda neat, and the eye glasses screwdriver is very cool. I'm not sure about the combo tool- it should be able to handle a #2 phillips, but it's kinda light so I wouldn't be able to put more torque on a painted over or frozen screw. And the T&T have a really nice design. I'm glad to see that there have been some changes in Wenger's production.

After 9 hours of ownership, I know this- it has replaced my LM PS4 on my key ring. I still might not like the Rangers, but this 65mm has found a place with me. Now to see if I can find replacement scales in something other than red. :)

These two Gardeners have custom scales of African Rosewood, and Red Micarta. The work was done by ebay seller customknivesandgear.  They really do make the the knife nicer to hold and use.  The seller says he is going to be doing some other knives shortly.  I think someone else posted a Gardner from this seller on the forum at a couple months back.  Anyone know if the seller is a member here?

A used Minichamp (with the red light), shown next to a Micra for size comparison. I will try and carry the Minichamp on my keys for a bit, instead of the Micra..

Whoohoo! Mailman came yesterday and dropped a notice, and came today bearing a package!
I got :
A 1977 Vic Soldier

Just a little thing of mine, collecting iconic stuff from my birthyear.
Anyone else know of 1977 dated knives, btw?

A Tourist and a Climber

Tourist is my new winterjacket-upper-pocket-filling ;)
Climber now has a home in my photo-shoulder-bag (last bag I didn't have a SAK in yet)

And a rather intriguing Bantam

It intrigues me because it's looks all Victorinox, yet there is a Wenger tang stamp on it.
Googled a bit, found some info on it, but don't know really what this is.

Oh yes, also there was a Ruby Classic along in there, but that got snagged up really quick by mother dearest ;) Since the eBay seller I usually get my NTSA Auction stuff from always bundles an <insert random model> with a Classic, I started giving them away to family & friends.
