Latest addition...

A large Hawkbill Pruner. I think.

I'm not user about the model. It had Victorinox on one side of the tang, 'Victoria 440/11 Swiss Made' on the other. Can't find much on this knife though.

This one is not for display though. I recently got my parents grape plant and I wanted a good knife to prune it. And what is more suited to do that than an old Victorinox with nice wood handles and  sweet brass liners!

Very nice..... :tu:......don’t let that blade close on your fingers, I have one and the spring is rather stout.  Feels good in the hand though......

When I got it it was dry, a bit gritty. So I oiled it and when I closed it after... I imagined my digits rolling to the floor should one ever get caught  :o
It has a very, very Victorinox snap to it.

No, I'm not sure. My guess is roughly somewhere between '50-'70. But I have to dig deeper to be sure. I can't find the 440/11 stamp anywhere.

Today's purchase is a red Classic sd. The scissor spring on my Bijou broke so it goes into retirement. The classic goes into my pocket. tom.

My Bride wanted a folding hook-bill knife to go along with her Felco trimmers for use in the garden.  I got her one of these.  Great snap!  Extremely sharp!  Cuts through twine and soil bags effortlessly.
