Well, good and bad on this one. It didn’t come with the slotted Phillips head.
Huntsman BSA
Oppps...it does...my error...that is a small slot!

Nice find Ray! :like: :tu: :tu:
Thanks! I am really happy with it. It is now a collection piece. Which is a first for me as I usually use a tool but I have a couple of shelf queens now.  :climber:

Cool SAK FB! :like: :tu: :tu:

That is cool that you have 2 Coke machines!
Thank you Vicman!  My first Coke machine is pre-electric, so it's more considered an ice box, but super sentimental!
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

Got my new Hercules last night.

To be honest, I was a little dissapointed at first.

I thought I had been taken for a ride when I noted that it didnt have the slider unlock.
But it appears that the latest Victornox knives don't have this.
Then there was the scales.
They don't have the metal insert, just a print on the scale.
Finally, the auger tool has no hole, I thought they all did.

I went onto the official Victornox website and looked at the one they had as an example.
There it was, no hole, visible spring loaded lock on the blade and screwdriver, no mention of the slider, yep, thats my knife.

Once I had a play with it, I realised that its a true Victornox.
The quality is there, nice metalwork, well made, everything nice and tight.

I also purchased a spectacle screwdriver when I bought the knife.
Fitted perfectly and looks good.

Im a lot happier now, but still a little let down by the printed logo rather than the nice metal one on my other Victornox knives.

Been thinking about a tool with a magnifying glass.

Is it actually glass or just plastic?

Some of them are real glass.  I'm not sure which ones though.  Hopefully someone will reply who knows.

Depends on when they were made

The older ones with the grey plastic surround are all glass

In about 2005 they then changed to all plastic and clear

Then in 2013 they went back to glass - But still in the clear plastic surround - So if you buy new today it will be glass

The magnification and size of the lens changed also with each variation

Mail call. I believe it is a Wenger Apprentice. It was advertised as a “scout knife”...

These are eBay pics. It came right before I left for work. Looks really good!

Will carry it Saturday maybe, definitely next week here at work.

Thanks for that, Ill have to think about getting a tool with a mag glass, but Im reluctant with plastic, scratches too easy.

Been wanting one of these for awhile, had it for about a week but weather was lousy so had to wait to get outside. I hate pics made under florescent lights.
