This is the story of the Victorinox Spartan ‘Einstein’ knife.

In the beautiful town of Bern, Switzerland, is a house at Kramgasse 49 in which the famous Albert Einstein once lived. This house now is a tourist attraction.
The tourist information of the city of Bern gives the following information:
“Albert Einstein lived in Bern from 1903 to 1905 and developed his Theory of Relativity here. The Einstein House gives visitors a chance to see where the great physicist completely revolutionized our understanding of space and time. Albert Einstein spent part of his life in Bern. He came to the Swiss capital in 1902 and took up a post at the federal patent office. In 1903, he and his wife, Mileva, moved into an apartment in the third floor of Kramgasse 49, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today, the apartment is open to tourists. It is furnished in the style of Einstein’s time and documents the life of the physicist during his years in Bern. This period included 1905 – Einstein’s annus mirabilis (extraordinary year) – which was his most creative period of scientific discovery.” A picture of the Einstein House is on the website. (Source: https://www.bern.com/en/detail/einstein-house)

In Kramgasse 47, immediately next to the  Einstein House, was a shop called the “Schmuck-Café”. (‘Schmuck’ is the German word for a cheaper kind of jewelry.)
In March 2018 the Schmuck-Café closed down and a souvenir shop moved in. The new shop is called “Prestige Souvenir”. The owner is a man named Cihat Tuncdogan. He came up with a good idea. The picture of Albert Einstein is copyrighted material, so Cihat could not use it for his ‘Einstein’ souvenirs, but he designed a nice caricature of Einstein, applied copyright, and he is now selling his own created ‘Einstein’ souvenirs to tourists.
One of these souvenirs is a white Victorinox Spartan with the caricature of Albert Einstein plus the text “Prestige am Einstein”, or in English “Prestige at Einstein”.

I couldn’t resist, so I bought one!

Nothing anywhere near as interesting, but I just got this bad boy in the mail today. This model never appealed to me, and I'm a die-hard alox fan, but I REALLY like the Tinker now that I've held it/carried it a bit. Basic, starkly simple, but versatile. The pin-hole doesn't hurt, either.

Reinier, I've never seen that color before. Also weird that it has Vic shield, which I didn't notice when I bought it.

:like:  I have been meaning to get the Spartan and Forester from the website of the place that had them made--I think they look great.

The Tinker and Ambassador are interesting. I've seen that lime green color once before, I think it was on a Bantam; with a printed ad. Never saw blue scales on an Ambassador--just Executives on the 74mm frame.
