:mail:   :woohoo:   Got one of the Centennial 1991 Climbers.
Just so happens it's the very middle one of the limited 5000 run of them.   Didn't realize they had a serial number until I was looking it over.
This really made my day, and I'll tell ya, lately it was needed.  .........

That is a very special acquisition C-SAK.

Metal inlay, limited edition, older model and a Climber - I guess my favourite model - and for me the classic  (small 'c'! ;) ) or epitome of a Swiss Army Knife.

But to get that serial number is unbelievable and very very special

I was lucky enough to get 0750 (of 2013) of the Wenger United Woods set - Which I thought was pretty neat - But only a round number.
2500 of 5000 is just brilliant

Congrats

Thank you everyone!  I stored that last Climber away with the others to be protected for the long haul.  I really need to look into some sort of way of displaying them while not taking up too much space.  Thought about trying to find some of the cabinets I've seen in antique stores with the drawers you can pull out with glass lids.

Today brought another one I got an absolute awesome deal on!   One of the 2016 Gold Climber Limited Editions.  I thought this knife was simply just a very thin layer of gold leaf on the back side of the Silvertech style scales, but there is a noticeable weight difference between these and a regular Climber.  I'm usually not big on the color of gold (I like silver or chrome better), but this is a beauty.

I believe the weight difference can be attributed to the LE Climber’s liners being made of nickel silver rather than aluminum.

That would explain it.  Thanks!

Just got my new Compact in British Racing Green. You beauty!
Had a hankering after one of these for an age. Have to admit I’m well pleased. Lovely piece of kit and will sit nicely between the black Spartan & jelly red Tinker.
Oh frabjous day!

I took a punt on an old explorer on Etsy and this is what I got: a bit long in the tooth, beaten up & badly in need of some TLC.
I have to admit, a Saturday afternoon spent fixing this lovely old thing up was a lot of fun. Even got some of that ole Swiss snap back...

Got this 84 mm golfer. I`m really happy. Seems unused, still with the Victorinox manufacturer oil on it.

I ordered an evogrip 14 as I saw it down to £19. If it doesn't fit the expected niche it becomes some form of present for someone else!

I love the Bavarian Alox knives. I lived in Wuerzburg for a few years back in the early 2000s, so if I ever see a Pioneer for sale I might have to pay whatever it takes to acquire it.
