Really nice, I've considered also to buy one recently

Do you know who is the reseller related to the Edelweiss flower etched on the blade ?

Thanks Zanza, tbh I thought I knew who the emblem was from but realize after checking their website I’m quite wrong
I’m sure someone here will know

I got this on eBay from a seller called swissjuice who are based in Switzerland and on eBay since 2006 (it says here!)

Took about a month to get to me in Sydney

Nice new knives, everyone! Zanza, another nice vintage find there- I got my red electrician with edelweiss on the blade frame the edelweiss shop in Switzerland, but they don’t seem to have any at the moment.

With the Old Cross challenge coming next month, I got this Elinox pioneer - needs a good clean, and some polish and TLC on bits, a drop of oil, a sharpen and it’ll be ready to join my OC solo on the challenge. From the VSSR stamp on the blade, I assume it dates from 1976 onwards, but I’d be grateful for the view of the experts!

Not sure if these sheaths came in black?  Seems he colored it  :dunno:.  The SAK was pretty nasty too as he used it daily.  Bad sharpening job ( course file ) on the main blade but I sorted it out.  Its gonna be a user so I was happy to have another.  I do miss the plus scales but thats easily remedied.

Rizio, after a quick search, I found two swiss websites, mainly targeted to tourist market.... Do you remember which one it was ?  ;)

Hi Zanza, it was the first one, though their stock does not seem as interesting as it once was these days.

I don’t think they were available in black at the time. My original knife was the same. And I did the same to my zermatt pouch which was originally brown tanned leather. Mine didn’t have the loop for the sharpening steel. I used a black dye for leather shoes. Probably Kiwi brand as that’s what I used on my dress shoes to touch up dings that polish wouldn’t cover.

I still love mine and don’t miss the backside tools when I carry it. The plus scale was my only change.

I acquired a Walther PPQ recently and decided to see if one of these was around to "pair" with it... I haven't bought a new SAK in a while and didn't realize how rare (or expensive) they had become, but suppose I finally had my EDC luck out moment!

Nice! How are you finding your PPQ btw.? I occasionally train with Umarex's PPQ T4E and reckon it is quite good for a modern wonder nine
