Picked up a lot of 5 (3 x Climbers, 1 x Climber small, 1 x Camper). One of the Climber is this translucent light blue / aqua colour that I haven't seen much about. It's much lighter and more turquoise than the sapphire scales.

I actually really don't care much for the Climber or Camper. I mostly got this lot to get the 84mm Climber for the scissors to make a Cadet X, though I'm not 100% sure I will. I'm giving the rest away as first SAKs to some friends.

I'm kind of tempted to keep this light blue though to have a Climber and that colour in the collection, though. Hmm.  :dunno:

You said you only wanted the 84mm. Why not stick with the original plan, friend?

If u carry XAVT, let us know what you think. I am utterly satisfied by my CYBERTOOL-L, but now that I have been wised up to Wiha extenders/converters, and seen how it opens up my CTL to bit world, I am now willing to explore possibilities of onboard carry of XAVT.

It's unlikely to get very regular carry, just the nature of where I usually am and what I usually need, but I have had a bit of an experimental play with it and it seems a lot more practical to use than I first thought.

Looks great, and so does the box? Plastic? Never saw a Victorinox case like that. Is it made for the Executive?

That's my favorite of the translucent color (I've seen it described as light blue or ice blue).  I just bought two Climbers in that color, because they are that color.   I'll probably swap the scales from one of them to something else.

Hmm perhaps I should put it on the market for someone who really likes this colour as it seems very uncommon , rather than have it sit unappreciated.

It’s a metal box. It does have the insert for this Executive, but Victorinox has packaged other small knives in the metal box in the past. I recall a Classic and flashlight combo in one years ago...not sure how long, but it was definitely back in the SOSAK days.

Just got my Grail Knife!!!
Reply #35327 on: April 09, 2021, 07:33:50 PM
I just received my grail knife in the mail!  It's a Victorinox Champion B with long file, bail, metal-headed tweezers, and nickel inlay.  It is in excellent condition with almost no signs of sharpening.  It has a small crack in one scale coming from the bail to the top on the side by the tweezers. I'm very excited!

It literally just got here, so I haven't cleaned it at all, but here are pictures.  I totally can't afford this, but I haven't seen this since I began looking last year, so...

Dang, I just got one, too.  Yours looks cleaned up a bit, which I will be doing to mine shortly.  This is my grail knife.

My blades look like they've not been sharped (or used much).  How do yours look?  My scales are a little abused, so I was surprised how nice the tools are.

Congrats on your acquisition.

Nice acquisitions - the LNF models are very attractive, but pricey, too much so for me, but at least I can admire those of others on this forum! :hatsoff:
