Not quite sure who in Ibach decided a small watch was the obvious add on to a penknife but "those crazy Swiss eh?"  :like:

It's a more obvious add on than a small pen knife to a watch!

:iagree: Those are nice scales indeed! Thankfully never acquired that habit myself….plenty of other vices though to compensate, such as SAKs addiction! I’ll get my coat….

Yes, it feels quite large in the hand, we will see how I like it in use...

In general, I find 111 models very good for hiking/camping - I have Forester as my regular hiking knife - I enjoy the robustness of the knife and the large blade for food preparation. As I mentioned, I picked this one as the "expedition" knife - I like the fact it has metal file and pliers, sewing eye in the awl (I do some cycletouring and just want to be ready for situations...) but it is still smaller and lighter vs. current Workchamp. I do not mind absence of scissors - I carry Rambler for personal grooming and do not feel the need for larger scissors.
This model was discontinued about 10 years ago so I was quite happy to get NIB one.

Sadly they’re too long and lock which makes them illegal to carry here - I used to use a master craftsman in my cycle-touring kit back in the day - I’m sure the Tradesman will be a good step up! :tu:

Echotech - luminous scales!  :woohoo:  :like: :like:

Thanks Rizio, my first stayglow…not my first climber  but couldn’t resist…damn you Amazon deal of the day :twak:

Very nice SAK’s Jud65 (love those green scales) and z1913 :iagree: forester’s great for hiking

Received some camo 111 scales today, going on either outrider or forester

Shame you can’t carry them at all Rizio, at least we get to carry them on the weekend bush walks here

Strictly this isn't my latest SAK.

But I used it for the first time last week to re-attach the strap to my Vic watch and I was curious about it as it doesn't feature as a 58mm model on SAKWiki. It came free (I wasn't expecting it) with a Vic titanium Inox watch.

So, the Classic nailfile is replaced by a watch strap tool and this comes in a  LE package with a divers strap (for which other uses are entertainingly listed on the reverse) and a couple of spare spring bars.

Anyone know what this model is called (if anything)?

From the Wiki:
Around 2015/2016 a variation of the Classic was released with a push pin tool, for removing a watch strap, replacing the nail file. It was sold in a set that included a military style watch strap. It was also gifted with the purchase of a watch from the Victorinox I.N.O.X. line. At least two versions of the push pin tool exist. The newer version has a slimmer profile.

I don't think it has a unique name, it's just a variation of a Classic. The pics in the Wiki show a different tool shape, though. Less pointy.

Thanks Prsantos much appreciated. I hadn't found that on the Wiki (can you post a link please as I may be being dim EDIT - found it). And the tool shape is different which is curious for a short term LE like this. Packaging differs too.

Scissors? We don’t need no stinking scissors!

Vic (Rostfrei) Economy— getting back to basics.

The knife equivalent of  McGyver stripped naked and released into the jungle at a human hunt club. What can he do with one large blade, one small blade, and a corkscrew? Not even a key ring. When Victorinox says “economy“, they mean it! And real men (and women) don’t need toothpicks and tweezers either. Take out splinters with the short blade. Pick teeth with the cork screw. This may also be recycled as the Build Back Better knife for iSerfs that own nothing and are happy!!!

Deal with it, plebes!
