Needed to upgrade from my slide lock and single Phillips WC...  :tu:
Probably a comparison review to follow.

Me too JB. I like the MC but most of the extra tools I don’t really use so prefer the slimmer profile and lighter weight of the Rambler. For the extra weight, albeit not huge, I prefer an 84 or 91mm

I’ve got a few of gripes with the Mini Champ…

- would’ve preferred standard scale with toothpick over the sliding pen.
- the key ring loop clashes with the mini combo tool when deployed.
- there’s a few useless tools on there.

I’m glad I own one though :)

Re the pen, depends where I’m going. For the bush/hiking I swap out the toothpick on the rambler for a firefly ferro rod, for town the pen’s more useful so carry a manager. Tbh the toothpick not that important to me.

The MC “useless” tools I know some people swear by so each to their own but kinda agree with you, but yeah, still really nice to have one :)

Got an Escort and a Swiss Card Nailcare. The idea being that, when travelling again, the Nailcare should be perfectly fine to take in a cabin bag...

As long as the blade length is less than 6cm, apparently... We'll find out in a few months, I guess!

Package arrived from Switzerland, the best kind
Another one for the mod 1908 collection, dated %u201CP%u201D version from 1942, with P on scales next to the WK stamp

Wow - Very nice Soldier with the P and the date and the WK
So presumambly military issue, authorised for Private use after the comission!
Your Mountaineer was a great find too - 30 years old but like new

Thanks H, yes exactly that. I already have a P tang stamp but wanted an issued one, bonus with P on the scales too…very pleased with both it and the mountaineer

Wow
Tell us more ......  eg where did it come from
I had a quick look too - Did not see it anywhere on the internet - although several of the Wenger version
I guess it would be a 75.

Shall I put it in the Wiki? And if so can I use your pic please?

I bought it in Switzerland on an auction site in a lot with some other knives, and mainly because I've noticed that screwdriver  :salute:

Of course you can use every single images I've uploaded if it can be for any help for the wiki  ;)

There are some other pictures in a small thread I created for it, here
