New to me Swisstool X.  Not a ton of room to add a clip and keep it inboard enough but it clears the lock just fine.

I had a RangerGrip 78 on a wish list, and my wife bought it for me as an anniversary gift.  8)  Snapped the pic while sorting some fishing stuff for tomorrow.

I'm carrying it in a Gerber sheath.  The shame

Nice, I love the look of the 130 RangerGrips.    I have the 79 (corkscrew lyfe)... I'm thinking of adding a choil to better see where the blade ends as it's pretty far out from the base and very difficult to tell.

That is a good idea.  The ricasso is quite long, and you can't sharpen it because of what it rests on internally.  A sharpening choil would give you a better sense of where the blade ends, and also aid in sharpening

That's what I'm thinking

The question is whether to put the choil in the last bit of sharpened edge or if it can be slightly further towards the base on the ricasso... if the choil is maybe 2mm long, 1mm deep (ie. radius of 1mm), perhaps centered where the two meet... I'm not sure.

I don't have a 130mm to look at - but my thought is - look inside and see what the ricasso rests on in the closed position.  If whatever it is, is not overlapping it, I would try to put the choil on the outer 2mm of the ricasso.  Because, you know what they say....

I don't know what they say  ??? But if you cut it wrong, the blade won't sit right. I've seen a video that tried to show where the rest point is and it's quite far out -- difficult to tell precisely.

I think I'll just choil it on the blade edge just before the ricasso to be sure... maybe make it only 1mm, just enough to reliably tell where the edge ends.
