I love the Phillips screwdriver. I also love black cellidor. So a black Fieldmaster was in order. Further blacked out with Vic lanyard and tweezers/toothpick.

Why not teach kids to use a pointy knife instead?!

Good point. Some of the knives I had as a youngster got the tips of their blades bent or blunted. Perhaps needless to say, I quit prying with blades long ago.

Latest pickup from my Wenger obsession. Boxed Traveler. I actually like these older Wenger scales. Nice fit in hand.

Boxed Traveler.
:like: I used to have one of those. Perhaps needless to say, I regret that I had to put "used to" in there.

Wenger Adirondack - scales not in great shape and lock broken but tools all good otherwise

Vic 91mm “Vssr” Golfer, fluted corkscrew, scissors with screw in very good condition and a like new GAK…3 SAK’s in a week, haven’t done that for a while :climber:

Nice haul. I wouldn't mind having one of those GAKs.

Thanks FX :tu:

All 3 were well priced but the GAK was a bargain, I’ve already got one but couldn’t resist…reckon I hit “buy now” within 5 minutes of it being listed. Didn’t pay that much for my other one either, reckon they’re great value for what you get

The 108mm is a good size in the hand and very sturdy with great grip on the scales
Gives me my most used toolset, blade, saw, bottle opener and the driver is surprisingly effective on both flat and philips considering its position at the end of the saw, if you see one for a good price well worth adding to your arsenal

108mm Vic’s are likely the most underrated series. Such good knives. Don’t even miss a lock as the back springs are so hardcore.

A "Elsener Schwyz" from 1955 and a "Victoria" from 1957 - 73, already sent to the Vic service for the restauration of the tools.
I've sanded and polished the scales of the Elsener Schwyz by myself, since they were in such a bad condition when I bought it.

EDIT: The seller is crazy. I found a sold brand new one sealed in plastic for $89. So $100 for one in a box (which is “open box” and not necessarily unused) has no business going for $100…

What is going on. This Traveler I bought new in box was $40. Now I find one listed for $100? Is the seller bonkers or is the Traveler much more desirable than the Viking? The auction I bought was listed incorrectly as a Viking, but it’s a Traveler based on tools.

My latest SAK is 2 Pioneer X's 2 because the first one got lost in the postal system the seller sent out a second one. In the meantime the first one turned up. The seller just told me to keep it so now I have two. I like the SAK in question I just realise I should have ordered the Farmer X

Well, get a Farmer X. Maybe the same thing happens again and you double your collection.

Got a Cybertool Lite for my birthday.

Actually a little disappointed, TBH, mainly in the LED light - By going to clear plastic, half the light is wasted shining back in your face. It wouldn't have taken much to add a little lens.
It's also heavier than expected and while I understand the exclusion of the wood saw, I would have thought they'd include the metal saw/file, given how much tech I find with rough or sharp edges that could do with a bit of smoothing out... and that's before I've started any modding.

Last year a gave my 12 year old nephew a 'My First Victorinox'. He managed to cut himself within 5 minutes...
So the point is... It's pointless to gave kids knives without points.

Victorinox Delemont Evolution S52 (2.3953.SE)

This knife was discontinued in 2021. I was so luck to find one with a little bit of discount.

Nice score. I'd like to try out Wenger-type pliers someday.

You could try thomann.de. Price is € 57. Don't know how much postage to Czech Republic will be.

Picked up a Wenger Trailblazer as I like Phillips more than corkscrew and don’t really see any discussion of the model. Bought one sealed in box (says 5/1/89 on back). Trying to decide if I open it or keep sealed…
