Looks like a nice Gibby there in the background  :like:

Looks like a jumbo body shape, so I'd normally guess J180 or J185, but the pearl sound hole rosette is throwing me off.  Makes it look more like a songwriter, but I think they had a different body shape

You should head over to the SAKs and guitars thread and show it off a bit:

Yeah that's a maple CJ-165.  It has a 15" lower bout.  (185 is 16" and 200 even bigger.)  They seem to only be making a cutaway version of the 165 owadays.  I also have a CJ-165 rosewood.

:like:  I’m not familiar with the 165. I’ve been rocking a j-45 for 25 years.

I don't really collect, but keep an eye out for things that interest me.  The fish descaler usually "disinterests" me as I see no (personal) use for it.  But the aluminium head tweezers on this one caught my eye when I saw it in a trinkets & tat outlet.  SAKWiki tells me it is a c.1976 Handyman, pre-swap to pliers.  Another thing I noticed is that the toothpick has no "bump" and on close inspection a slightly longer head.  Hence it protrudes a bit if put into a later knife, and also a modern 'pick is a sloppy, drop-out-with-a-shake fit to the scale.  Pretty pleased with it overall  :D.

Does anyone happen to know who the Tg logo represents?

I have no clue who or what "Tg" represents, but that's a great find! :tu:

No doubt in my mind that the knife and tweezers are genuine.  Is there in yours?

I'm still wondering on the toothpick.  I haven't see notes on that variant and wonder if it came from some no-name copy (since it doesn't look like a Wenger one either).  But the way it fits perfectly and a modern toothpick fails to do so makes me think there's a gap in my knowledge.  I'll have to find another early-70s knife to confirm it...

I checked the toothpick in my oldest knife (probably early 60’). Very similar findings to yours - no bump, although length on mine is almost the same as modern one but the shape of the head is different vs modern. The modern toothpick can be inserted but does not align well with the scale cutout.

What a fun find! The gentleman in question on the coin is actually buried (along with his wife, Empress Eugénie and at least one son) no more than 1km from where I live!

Just picked this one up from the post office about 10 minutes ago. Forester with plain blade from Central Valley Wholesale on Ebay. It's my first 111 mm, but it's awesome, and I'm glad I found it without a serrated blade. It's going straight in my hunting pack when I get home from work and will be put to good use for many different tasks.

I have a Forester which I like a lot.  It's a very capable knife, more robust than the 91mm line and safer if you are trimming or cutting away plants.

Nice 111’s guys. I was recently torn between a 111 or more 93mms and chose 93s due to alox. I just got the Fx and then I found this electrician for 20% off on etsy. Now I have a lot of carrying to do.
