The Tactiles came in two versions, a black 8-blade model; and a 7-blade model with blue-grey handles that seem to vary from very blue to very grey.

I will add here the informations I have.
I saw the black version in a 2005 dealer catalog, with the name "Tactile 812", but no catalog number.
The blue/grey shows up in a 2006 catalog (which I have) with the name "Tactile 811" and catalog number 1.114.09.811
I will update the wiki when I'll have time.

... and Tactile may be refered to as Soft-touch in some markets and both ways in others. Soft-touch seems to be the more recent term.  The black Evo ST (.814 style) is the evolution of the flat style.

Found this one on craigslist this morning. Picked it up literally 5 min ago for $15. NIB, but not sure of the model or the age but I'm not going to pass up a Vic for that deal.

I believe have the same one.
Looks like it's this model : http://www.smartknives.com/Victorinox-Knives/Victorinox-Champion-Chisel.htm And according to that site, it's pretty valuable among collectors.

Newer Ranger with stainless-steel file, and a very nice print; the other side is advertising.  This company went all out with their special SAK.

There will be other green models in a few weeks time as well. I'll have them all as well.

Yes.  It looks very new "SWISS MADE" tang stamp, stainless file, maybe Martin or someone in Switzerland could ring up the company and get some more.  It's really a nice one and I love that it's a Ranger.

As one of the 'also-rans' for this knife I emailed Gutor Schnieder to see if it was available directly from them. If Martin would do the same thing, maybe we can get something going. Fingers crossed.

Apparantly yes!Wenger made them that year, but it was an uber short run. I'd even be happy with a 72 DAK!

according to jazzbass (and I've learned to trust him with anything SAK related ;) ), 1972 is the third hardest to find Soldier year, first being 1995 followed by 1974.
