The scales' surface feels like thin rubber, not cellidor, so I'm assuming it could be what you're describing. The cross and logo contour have a metal tint on them, not white.

I like this one a lot   :D
Have a look at this topic
http://forum.multitool.org/swiss-forum/wenger-tactile(s)-wenger-soft-touch-sakwiki/
you'll be able to find there a "compilation" of all the informations currently available about your knife.
I went by the shop today. The man gave me the odd-ish look when/while I asked him but said he will check his catalogs and boxes. I'll drop by sometime next week. I hope he finds something interesting :)

Those are cool SAKs Firiki :tu:  I remember the same feeling when I got me Wenger EvoGrip16.  The blade was and still is super sharp, and so is the can opener for that matter.
Thanks Monrogue. I'm already liking them more. The blades are sharp and the can opener is simply vicious ! There's pics to follow when I get the chance.. Cheers  :ahhh :D

The number for the Sailfish is 16955. The plain-handled version is 1 19 13.

We're missing several other of the handles with figures. Have relatives in town for the holiday (Thanksgiving), but will try and get to them next week.

PS - Looks like GigaHz is found a nice little pocket of gold.  :tu:

No hurry. :D I have enough of info in my inbox already to keep me busy for the weekend. :D Enjoy the family time.

WOW, what a score!!!!!! :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
Please post it also in the Wenger topic, so we have the reference there.
Enki, you can use the attached catalog picture for the wiki, to show the standard version.

Page created. If you notice any errors let me know.

Also neillcurriee mailed me pictures of his old version of it with a dog bone opener and bail but I still haven't uploaded it cause of the nail file it has instead of the small blade and I need identifiers if someone has them. :salute:

Good job Enki!
The model with the nail file instead of small blade has catalog 1.19.03
I have one in my collection.
Don't know about the one shown in the pictures with the bail, as I'm not expert of Wenger's that old.

Not really my latest, but I just managed to put them together and do some rather bad pictures.

I bought 2 BO Spartans from Robert a while ago and ever since I got them I thought about BLack, Stayglo or Silvertech scales. I bought a pair of far-too-expensive black Nylon scales from +B and a whole used Huntsman for the Stayglo scales and voila:

What a nice pair!

Once I get over the "It`s so new and shiny black" phase, the black one will go into rotation.
I´m so-so on the Stayglo one, but the contrast is quite stunning.

you like them?

You might be able to talk me out of the Stayglo one, but the black oen stays. It´s just sooo black.
Now I need to test if the Tweezer head and toothpick will take black dye.

Already posted a couple of these, but here is the final haul.
All from one seller...

Gourmet and Escort
Ivanhoe
Old Spartan, or is it old enough to be a Standard?
Compact with hook (hopefully with file)

All for $50 incl post.

This seller really should learn to take better/more pics and give more description... but then I'd miss out on deals like this.
