It's cheating when you keep repeating yourself. They need to be unique, like on the Giant!  :twak:

No you see this is a whittling knife the blades are backups.  B+ better not steal my idea and release a super carver!

85 must be a good year for vintage red Alox :tu:

I'm thinking it was a good year for new old stock. ;)

Both mine are well used, I've had the Pioneer a while and recently got the Farmer in trade which is well used as well...I'd love some mint ones but I'd probably end up using them :D
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Are those Wharncliffe blades I see in the background? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Two regular small SAKs just in from Switzerland, a new Vic Executive and a Wenger MicroLight Pocket Tool Chest. Saw a deal that could not pass. One somewhat interesting bit is that the Executive got a shield larger than on all my other new and old cellidor Execs. The LED light works fine on the MicroLight, not too powerful but ok - guess that I was expecting worse :)

Few quick and dirty snaps with oily blades just opened for the first time:

Very nice all of them, especially that 88 First Mate 8) Happy for you two with these.

There seems to be 'lots' of those NIB 85 Seaman (-men) - I know of at least another member here who has an identical one. Does not make it less nicer one bit :)

Reminds of me when I got these a couple of years ago... some of my first old reds. Never gets old that feeling of unboxing some like this. Old red alox is best 8)

Very nice, Marius!  :tu:

I still need to add a NIB old cross Pioneer and Farmer to the collection. In fact, I wouldn't mind acquiring all of the old cross Alox models!

I used awls on the back layer since I cant fit a corkscrew in the inner layers.  I almost had it done, but I ran out of extra parts.  It has 33 blade layers so far so 66 blades all together if you count the small ones. :D  And its HEAVY.

I'll take the SAK stuck in a stump photo shoot once im done.. lol.

My latest (received today) is a Sentinel one hand opener with plain edge and without pocket clip (although I ordered with a clip). Observations so far, very nice. It's thin and light weight which I was surprised at. Only negative is that's it's not as pointy as I would have liked but will sort that out easy enough.

Regards, Jon.

A new Victorinox, which isn't in the wiki.

Just picked up a version of the Golfer (another) which turns out not to be in the wiki. Had a previous example with Arnold Palmer's name on it.

The name in my notes is: Junior Golfer (don't know if that's official or not)

91mm
1 layer
Number: ?

It differs from other Golfer versions in not having a scissors.

top layer: main blade, divot tool
bottom layer: corkscrew
also includes key ring, tweezers and toothpick

handles: red celidor with golfer on them

It's called a "Golfer Special", at least it is on the NIB one I have.

ditto, I like imagining the stories it could tell... "Like the time I lost the tip of my small blade. Well, we (my owner and I) were on a weekend hike and he yadda yadda yadda"

I believe I have a stayglow Climber on the way. Been looking at these for... I don't know... eighteen months? Finally pulled the trigger. Ebay, says it's like new, $19. Here's hoping the photo was good.

That's more definitive than what I have. 'Golfer Special' it is. Do you happen to have a number?
