Day At The Falls
on:
July 17, 2010, 02:27:25 PM
We had a rare day off together so we took the boys to Morialta Falls. Morialta Falls is located in a conservation park just 30mins from the city centre
. It has been about 20 years since I have been to the park & with the resent winter rains it was a great day walking.
Looking up at the first look out , it was a VERY steep walk
Out look from the first look out was a bit obstructed
. The OHT's saw was just the ticket for trimming youngest's walking stick
.
Water fall a little ways off
can be seen in the back ground.
Resent high winds & storms meant some of the paths were a little tricky to navigate.
Getting closer
.
Looking down the falls from the walk way.
No Niagara , but for such a small water way it is an impressive sight.
Walk ways are for softies
.
Looking back up at the walk way/ the Peanut gallery
.
"Dad do not fall off the edge you have my apple & walnut bun in your back pack" from eldest son. From the misses I got a
+ something about someone has to be responsible
We had a great day
. Me & the misses were a bit sore
& youngest was a bit crabby after 3 hours of walking
"Downunder Mod (that sounds dirty, doesn't it?)"

Next time bring a bigger knife
I'm also a little disappointed to see you haven't got the next generation trained to insert tools up their noses before posing for pictures
Come on, they're boys, they'll need little encouragement
Glad you had a great day
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Wow, looks like you folks had a great time Mat!
Good job keeping the apple & walnut buns safe mate!
I do feel sorry for Jodie though, the poor gal must surely be suffering from strained eyeballs by now after having to do this
all the time!
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

very pretty area, there's some similar country in the area where I grew up outside of Sydney
...this wasn't the final stage of a rafting trip or anything, you could walk across these falls.
