My five weeks alox collection
on: August 06, 2010, 07:27:54 PM
After use a SAK pioneer for 35 jears now and buyed last year an red and black pioneer I was interresting
to get more pioneers.
I was looking around for more and decide 5 weeks ago to get a member of this forum.
I was just planning to buy only collored pioneers but find also farmers here and cadets and alox classics.
Thank for some members who helps me out to start with my collection.
The last weeks I find more at ebay and webshops but some models are hard to find and some are verry overpriced I let them go.
At this moment I like to collect all kind of alox SAKs, as you can see at my "tools needed" topic.
I have almost compleet the pioneers, except the silver old cross.
From the others you can see at the pictures what I am missing and on the search for.
I spend a long time now on my computer for the last 5 weeks and be proud for what I have found at this
short time.
On the way now are the cadet II, black farmer, electrician plus new logo, solo new logo and the bantam alox II.
I hope to find more ,but I have to be patient to get my collection compleet.
Thanks for your help, but I have more to go.

Here all together after 5 weeks.

My classics with two shades of blue.

My pioneers.

My farmers.

My cadets.

My electrician plus an my 3 electricians.

My soldier and red solo.

I haven't come across any of those Damascus Pioneers yet.
A little Leatherman information.

WOW!!!

You've been bitten by the Alox bug hard.

That is really an amazing assortment for just 5 weeks.  I think the Damascus Pioneer and the Copper Cadet surprise me the most, so it just goes to show what you can uncover if determined.

You are looking through either a piece of glass, or plexi.

Fooled by reflections, lol. Being a Skeletool user I immediately thought "why does that SAK have flat LM bits in the handle" when I first saw the picture.

Wow very nice and impressive collection and in this short time.  :tu: :tu:

If you want to complete your electricians collection with the blue one, you may ask Dan from VSAKCS. He will probably sell you the club knife 2008.

If you are interested I'll email you his email address.

Rest is not idleness,

listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

Man I would love a vintage cross Farmer (in red) like that.  Where did you score it?  I was watching one on ebay a while back, but it ended while I was out for a weekend.  I was bummed that I forgot to put in a higher bid.

The older Farmers show up quite often, I'm sure you'll find one.  If I get an extra I'll try to remember to send you a PM.  That one should not cause you to loose any sleep, as they really seem quite available even if the price has been moving up on them.
