What type of VIC is this?
on: August 23, 2010, 11:58:06 AM
Saw this on eBay. Looks like a Secretary or Pocket Pal with scissors. The handles are not smooth though and it is 75mm long. Any ideas?  ???  :D

I'm sure I've seen something similar on SOSAK - have you browsed on there?

It's probably something collectable, that much I'd take a guess on!

It's an Accountant; the backside may or may not have a long nail file. :tu:  It's a wonderful little knife, and not exactly easy to come by, either.

Probably an Accountant but did that pattern in 75mm have a different name when incorporating scissors?
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

To be honest that SAK is of an age where it probably just has a number.  So we get to name it....

Except I get into trouble for naming SAKs ;)

From what I've seen, there wasn't a naming difference between Accountant and Accountant with scissors, though that's just from what little I've seen. :tu:

Yes, I think the Accountant moniker has just been adopted over time as its the closest model.  I don't have a catalogue number for it either I'm afraid  :-\

Well, I'm very new here :) That says a lot about Neil's thing for golfers :) It's very obvious, even for newbies :D

I know this is "my" type of knife.

I think Vic numbered this model '74 St', but at 75mm, I'm not 100% sure, it might be 54 St.
