Hey! Funny you should mention that. I had an opportunity to use that awl bit earlier this week. I was drilling holes in a piece of sheet metal (with a power drill) but the drill bit kept wandering off my start spot. I used the awl to make little dimples for the drill bit to start on.

The holes in the bits are leftover from the spade drills I made them from:  http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,1111.0.html

The Leatherman Bit Extender costs $12 because they figured no one would pay $13 for it!  :P

(Seriously, you could get a generic extension at a hardware store and grind it down yourself for less money)
