Well Today I got my first SOG and it is a TOOLCLIP.
Thanks to a guy at EDC Forums...( It was a good trade )

So far I like it . I didn't use it yet. But the Pliers handle looks very
light and I think I should have to be carefull...could break with stress...

Anybody know anything about that ?
But looks good to me , now I need the small SOG with black body...
BTW what model is that Mini ToolClip ???

The ToolClip is a pretty handy multi.  I like the non- folding plier types as they seem that much sturdier.  Not that I've ever found myself in a position to break the pliers on any tool, but it's still nice to have that feeling of solidity that only a set of rigid pliers can bring.

Hmmm...I don't think there is much to worry about in regards to bending the ToolClip plier handle. According to the instructions it was intended specifically to double as a pry bar. It is certainly heat treated and tempered properly for that task.

It's a cover for the serrated blade... safety first!

It's funny how many companies copy the model of the ToolClip or the SwissGrip, and no one ever seems to do it quite as good as the originals. Copycats, they are called that for a reason.

I have a Powerlock. I bought it on impulse during the short time our Wal-Mart carried them (3-4 weeks if that!). I like the workmanship, but there are issues that I think mar the overall impact of the Powerlock on me. I plan on carrying the Powerlock should I begin technical work again. Unless SOG changes their design radically, the Powerlock will probably be my last SOG.

Multi-tool-wise I have two Powerlocks (one is standard, the other is a BO EOD model). I also have a Paratool and a Micro Toolclip. Coming soon is a Switchplier.

As far as knives go, I have a Tomcat 3.0, a Topo Meridian (my current EDC knife), a Mini Topo, a Blink, a Twitch II, a fully serrated AirSOG, and a Trident (my first SOG). I also have a SEAL Pup, which, unlike the others, is a fixed blade. I probably have one or two that I'm forgetting.  :-[  I also plan to buy more as soon as money allows!  :D

SOG is my favorite company for both knives and multi-tools.   :multi:

Oh I forgot to list which SOGs I EDC:

At work I'll have my standard Powerlock and a knife (I switch knives more often than tools). When I'm not at work I usually carry either a lighter multi-tool (usually my SwissChamp) or no multi-tool at all, and a knife. For a while I usually carried the Blink or the Twitch II, but now I'm EDCing the Meridian a lot. The SEAL Pup is for activities like camping.

For years I carried a SOG PowerLock on the job, ( as evident by the below photos ) and for years I kept on having to pull my uniform trousers up because of the weight, PL is a heavy tool. Then I discovered the joys of lighter weight tools and tools with pocket clips , ( that can be modified to to allow me to pick and choose what implements I want in my tool ), either factory original or modified pocket clips on the MT.
The tools I carry most now are : SOG Pocket PowerPlier, Swisstool Spirit "S" modified with a pocket clip and a SOG  full size Toolclip .

My SOGs - modified                                                                                                                                                          YES the above SOG has FOUR cutting blades !!!

Serrated Line Cutter and a "V" cutter                                                                                                                                     This SOG only has 3 cutting blades, "V" cutter + scissors

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

A sog seal pup that I use almost daily.  It has stood up to the harshest of environments from -40F to +100F, high humidity and wetness.  A good blade to be sure.

I've got a modified Powerlock S62. I switched out the half serrated blade for the straight blade and the V cutter for the serrated line cutter.
