I couldn't read the book. Tried, but the way it was written (like one massive run-on sentence) just rubbed me the wrong way. Badly. Which is a shame because the movie was simply amazing. Truly can't recommend it enough.

It is a great movie!, but the audiobook version of the book is even better and it is not that long. Watching the movie first helped me with the faces of the characters and to imagine the destroyed world, it is interesting to notice how much the movie did not cover from the book.You can hear a small sample of the audiobook here:http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_1?asin=B002V0PTQ2&qid=1283664356&sr=1-1Hope you enjoy itGuillermo

Eh, they did well enough with LotR, though problems one and two were still factors. ^^;
I watched this some time ago... probably about the time the original thread about the book was out.It's a tough dark film. I both liked it and disliked it. I disliked the message of how society was heading, not the acting.

Some of the customers I deal with at Home Depot, actually look the the first batch of cannibals in that film(the ones on the flatbed truck that look like a bunch of rejects from "DELIVERANCE" )
