Wonder if the new PS/ES4 has the same lower quality then. There is a very substantial different in quality in terms of the fit of the tools between my PS4 and P4/S4. The former snaps so well into place everywhere it's a piece of art.

From a warranty replacement point, is LM more likely to replace the entire tool if it's rivetted or can they just as easilly drill out and re-rivet?

Whole tool replacement is far easier for them to do.

Hi,

Got the following from Leatherman;

"We originally launched the new Squirt PS4 and ES4 with threaded fasteners, however in July we've permanently switched over to rivets for all colors of the Squirt tools which provides a lower and smoother profile of the tool in the pocket.  There are still a few Squirts floating around in retail that have the fasteners, but as inventories get replenished they will be replaced with the riveted versions.

There are no changes to the Style or Style CS."

More to chase for the collection :>)

Best - Joe

Hi,

I got my first riveted PS4 yesterday (blue, of course).  Looks OK to me, but I really prefer those with the Torq screws.

Those of you who are Leatherman collectors need to fill in the gaps in your collection of the scr=wed version.  I think they will disappear quickly.

Best - Joe
