I have to ask:  what is the packing material packaged in so that it arrives safely? :pok:

Inferior non-swiss paper, perhaps?

Made out of bricks?  Shipping is $10 on this "rare" paper. >.>

Is this one too subtle?

I guess that is because he has to pack it in even more "rare paper" to protect it  :ahhh

No, I believe he is serious. I just figured that was one of the oddest things I have personally seen for sale on eBay. Don't get me wrong, I do like his knives. That is why I usually keep an eye on what he is selling online.

FYI, Mr. Swissbianco is reading this thread.  He just sent me an unsolicited message...

Dear akloo9,

hello,

people like you will never understand how we swiss do things the swiss way. all articles that i sell or created in collaboration with victorinox are collectables and there are serious people who understand the many swiss aspects and and are not joust "i want an sak cheapest price" misuser people. its also rude to post conversation online with not asking earlyer and that fits to the jealous not understanding people. i will joust do my work as best i can and create unique sak and collectables nobody else has after go ahead and block you from bidding on my auctions.

best regards

+B

- swissbianco

Now for you, Mr. Swissbianco....
1.  I apologize if I was rude, but I did ask you earlier, before posting on this thread.  Only post prior to our conversation was  the one where I stated that I just may have to ask you about it.
2.  I'm not really interested in SAKs at all, but when I saw this thread, I was incredulous and had to whet my curiousity.  I'm neither the "cheapest price" shopper, nor the "jealous, not understanding" person.
3.  I wish you the best, in your work.
4.  Feel free to block me, as I've never bought anything from you before.  If I ever did want to purchase a SAK, I would contact Tim, with Felinevet first and foremost.

Best regards.

Werther is NOT swiss!

It's german. In fact it's just a few kilometers away from where I live. I drive through the village regulary, and along the candy factory, too (which is not in Werther, but close by). If you want some Werther candy paper, what would you trade it for  :pok:

Roger I'm sorry to say this but just how utterly stupid do you think your buyers are?  Best of luck and all that, but get a grip. ::)

I have purchased SAKs from Roger.  He's been very courteous and the SAKs were exactly as described.  In short, I've been very happy with his service.

However, I really don't get the "Selling Rare packing paper" thing.  That just seems over the top.  And btw, I get the whole Swiss thing.  I've lived with it my whole life.  My grandparents, granduncles and aunts never tried to sell packaging as rare.  They were very proud of their level of craftsmanship, but that was never extended to raw materials.

Ex: My grandfather was very proud of the model houses and barns he built.  Detailed, fully functional and tough enough for EDC play by rauchous children.  He would never have sold Rare Genuine Sawdust, Rare Genuine nails or Rare Genuine sandpaper.

fwiw.

Folks know by now that Roger and I don't see eye to eye.  We have had our differences, and so it may come as a bit of a shock to many of you when I say that this was probably his brand of humor, and was likely not to be taken too seriously.  When he responded angrily to Fisting Chili, it was likely because of his inability to take criticism, not because this was meant to be a "serious" auction.  While I personally can't endorse dealing with Roger, I don't think this bit of silliness should affect anyone's feelings on dealing with him.  It was a joke, it wasn't that funny, life goes on.  I'm sure we've all done silly things and felt dumb when we realized no one was laughing.

To Roger, since I know you are reading this, and I know you will take offense to anything I say anyway, please, learn to take a joke, especially if it's your own.

Difficult to believe it was supposed to be funny. If it was listed by anyone else I'd probably think that!
