It is a long bugger, but pocket shaped so you don't notice it.  In jeans it is very comfortable.
I'm back!!

Dateline- Four Oaks, North Carolina

Peasants Overrun The Multitool.org Store

A group of colorfully clad Svord Peasant Knives took over the Four Oaks, North Carolina based "The Multitool.org Store" this evening.  According to reports, the Peasants appeared under cover of darkness and brashly charged into The Multitool.org Store and EDCSource.com listings.  With prices of of $14.95 for poly handled versions and $17.95 for the wooden handle, the Peasants aren't expected to stay long.

We will keep following this story and update as conditions warrant.

Living with a Peasant

When I ordered the Peasants for The Multitool.org Store, I picked up an orange handled version for myself.  The orange is amazingly bold.  After reading that some of you guys have been pocketing your Peasants for awhile, I decided to give it a try.

At first blush, the knife looks much too large for comfortable pocket carry but it I found just the opposite.  I carry a front pocket wallet on the advice of my chiropractor and my sciatic nerve.  I thought such a large knife and wallet would be too much.  The knife is so light and the shape so unique that it just disappeared in the pocket.  It nestled in beside the wallet and rode quite comfortably all day.  Today was video editing day, so I didn't have occasion to use the Peasant at work, but I did do some practice removals and replacements.(While the editing computer is working, there are a few slack moments.)

Friday night I tried the Peasant out on some fairly detailed work.  I got home from work late and my wife was making a Halloween costume for my son.  She asked me to help with a small part and I needed to remove a row of stitches.  She offered me the "proper" tool for that job, but naturally I thought a good, sharp knife would work much better.  I grabbed the Peasant and went to work.  The Peasant did a great job on the stitches.  In short order I had them out and completed my little task.

I'm not sure the Peasant will become my EDC, but I can certainly see it finding a place in the rotation.

Didn't want to open new post, and I figure this belongs here. It's a variation to Svord Peasant Knife... It's called Shepperd Knife...

This one is hand made, deer horn handle (it's called stag right ), unknown steel probably some old file, spring, or.... Blade is polished and it is convex.... Really nice tool!!!     Trying to get to manufacturer to get me one!!

Why don't you just get that one? At 10 Euro, it's a steal.

I got a wooden one from Tony at the first meet-up this year and do like it.  Sadly, and unlike a lot of folks, I do find the size of the thing an issue for pocket carry. :-\

Just carry a banana for a few days, then go back to it.  You'll find it very comfortable then.  :D
