On the Road Tour Visit in Charlotte, NC
on: September 24, 2010, 11:33:10 PM
Ok, so I knew for close to a year that the OTR Tour was going to be visiting by Charlotte this weekend, and thus, it's been on my calendar ever since.  One thing I was really looking forward to was being able to make my own OTR Spartan, since that's effectively one of very few places where you can make one.  Well, fast forward to my visit just a couple hours ago.  While I did get a picture of myself holding a dismantled display Climber, I walked away without a OTR Spartan.

To say I'm disappointed is a bit of an understatement.  On this last stop on the On The Road Tour, they deemed it "not a special event," and thus, didn't have the Make-Your-Own-SAK machine.

I'm unhappy with Victorinox at the moment, especially since I went there specifically to make one.

As an aside, however, AirStreams are rather nice.

[Edit:  Though, I must say, the female attendants were very cute. >.>]

Well that's a bummer Saz. :( It's not like setting up the SAK machine is really that big of a chore either. ::) Seems like they would have done it at ALL their Road Tour stops. :-\

Yeah, my detour added 1.5 hours to my drive home, myself.

They had the OTR Master Locksmith, soft touch Climber and Explorer (the former which was OTR), and OTR Spirit.

I didn't even care to touch them.  My dealer friend in SAKs wasn't at the gun and knife show, either. :/
