Wow! 

It is a razor blade after all, not a knife blade... So, the thin profile  on the edge works to its "sharp" advantage.   

Most probably dulls faster than a comparable knife blade too... Heheh.

Since switching to paper wheels I can now proudly say I too can get my knives hair-splitting sharp. I usually don't go that far though. I like'em a little toothy.... or what others say is hair-shaving sharp.
