I find the "cheese knife" does a very good job on Swiss Chocolate bars. The Swiss chocolate is a lot harder than North American.

Looks like some good news for fans of this knife.  The collector value may drop a bit for a while, but it looks like we may be able to stock up and have one for the collection, one for the kitchen, one for parties, one for work...

Hello guys,

I just stop on this page, I registered because I saw that people are willing to pay more than 80$ for this knife.

This knife is available for only 34€ (45$) on the website who order this design from victorinox :

So don't spend 80$ for it, this is robbery.

I'd bet it does.  I don't know if they ship to the US, but if they do I think it's worth a shot.

Looks like this is only good for people in France. Translating their website, this is what it says:

Machine Translation:
The orders are for metropolitan France, including Corsica. Participation fee of packing and shipping, for a flat fee of 5 Euros.  They are delivered within approximately four weeks after receipt of payment.

How long before these things become impossible to get?
A forum member offered to sell me one a little while back but sadly I wasn't able to afford it at the time. Now I'm worried I may have missed my only shot.

I suppose it's only a matter of time before this gets out, but for those of you that want this knife, it should be going into production and be imported into North America and other markets this year.

Aww how'd I miss that? I've been following this thread pretty closely.
Wonder if it will look the same though. If it goes into regular production won't it feature the Vic shield? maybe not. Great news though!  Thanks man.  :D

If the knife gets marketed/distributed through Victorinox in North America, I would not worry as much about losing the special logo scales, as I would about the losing the special packaging.  However, if it is brought to NA through the SCM then I expect everything would be good.

ps.. In case anyone is wondering; good seller on that ebay item listed above.

If this is going to become a regular item I'll be very tempted to pick one up.  :)

I won one recently from this excellent seller for $51. Love the knife! The cheese blade itself is very sharp.
