Honestly my opinion the thought of them even acknowledging folks on Facebook with giveaways and contest whether it be a hat, pin, tool or ink pen deserves enough respect. If its crap and you win send it my way I will be more than happy to take it off your hands.

Facebook has become such a major platform now that they don't really have much choice in the matter. Just like Twitter, most companies are there now too. I don't like it (Facebook in general) but that's another matter. Giveaways is done by a lot of companies and I think someone as big as LM could afford something that isn't outdated and cheap. Especially since those contests take up so much of the representatives' time that the page is useless for any consistent customer service, which is what most companies use the services for. I'd much rather see them completely drop the giveaways altogether and pay more attention to helping people. Then again, the people who run that page doesn't seem overly customer oriented. The last I saw of them before I gave up on that page was one of them recommending to a customer with a bent flathead flat bit that he go buy a new bitkit "because it's not that expensive"

They do, but it's never anything interesting. A cap, pin, or some knife they don't sell anymore. They mostly give it to this little 13 year old brat that whines until he gets somethign anyways

It's apparently just me, but I'd rather spend $20 on that stuff if I find I need it rather than spend my time entering all sorts of competitions. LM normally goes on FB saying "there will be a competition today", then at a random time they'll pop back with a question you have 20 minutes to answer. Meaning you have to check their page or your "news feed" all the time every day to catch it. I'm not that desperate. The photo contest is the first long term competition I've seen them running.

Well I know from my correspondence with Leatherman a while back, they wanted me to join their facebook page. I am just not a big fan of facebook. Still pondering if I should or not. My joining would make a few friends very happy. But I spend my working days preaching about the horrors of facebook and upholding Board policies.

I think you need to join    How can you preach about its horrors without experiencing them youself ? go on you know you want to . You can always delete your account if it gets too much .

By the time I figured out what I was doing...I was too late to enter the contest...not that I could even figure how to post a photo anywhere to be honest.

Having a major time trying to figure out how facebook even works. Not having much fun trying to figure it all out. I tried to join the Leatherman site; until I figured I had to click on "I like it" I kid you not. That was user friendly. Whatever happened to a simple button that said…join? Still haven't figured out how to post photos to their album. I am completely lost and regretting joining. I may delete the account. At least I figured that one out on my own.

Kept prodding a girl I met on FB to post her M14 picture up, she didn't even make it.

Leatherman doesn't seem to understand they have fans that don't have their tools. So the only real action photo didn't even make it. That was sad. Had to been Michael.

Juli commented on some Kinder Egg she liked, yup that one got in.

I put up my astronomy picture up, didn't even get a mention.

Was one of two submissions that had a person in it too. Only other "body that got accepted was Dunc's - which I voted for too.

Put that JP kid on block today. Tired of his endless whining because he didn't win (every) contest. If he wins Friday I'm gone. He's won two contests, there should be a rule where you cannot enter a contest if you've won in the past three months - so it doesn't look so blatantly set up. Juli & Michael show that kid too much favoritism.
Juli might taunt me with a supposed "Christmas bonus" but that doesn't mean anything to me. Especially after recent events. She tells me in a PM to be more respectful of others, yet lets little JP do whatever.

Michael I think deliberately walks over posts I've made, and gives credit to the others that used my words. That really ticks me off. When Juli ticked me off I thanked her and Michael for passing over two important questions I had posted: A wrong item sent, and Surge issues on the pivot bolt. Said my fair wells and did leave for a while, till Tracy talked me down from being so irritated.

Sure, after I tell them good bye Juli comes up with a story that their engineers supposedly inspected tools, and found there was a flaw. Claimed they was sending me out a Surge to replace mine. Did get the Quick Release clips with a Bionic Lobster t-shirt in UPS. Was hoping it was a new BO Surge with my engravings and an PP envelope to send mine back. Nothing got here yet. Think my Surge is a lemon.



Chako would of probably been a "shoe in" if he got his in on time. Helped him get photos on FB. FB is a funny site. Oh, and don't pet anything personal on your FB page. If you need anymore help, Chako, holler. Have most of FB stuff figured out.
No one knows the prizes till tomorrow.






The Leatherman USA page used to be fun. Then JP started beg-trolling every post I made. Juli & Michael didn't do a flipping thing either. JP's constant whining, begging, badgering, trolling, crying got old long ago. Think most everyone (in their right mind) has Blocked JP by now. Oh, and don't post anything you have for sale, trade, or excessive amount of - he'll beg-troll your posts. Waiting for him to mention to Chako how he needs one/some of his tools since it his birthday next. (Hi Juli! :wave:)
For administrators and moderators, Juli & Michael sure make that page look bad. They've deleted a few of my posts, least Michael has. Yet nothing on that out-of-control brat's posts --- minus the ones I told them about on my initial rebuttal on them leaving certain PII up on the page concerning their pet.
