Boker Cox by Ansø..
on: October 02, 2010, 06:59:23 PM
My new Slip joint arrived yesterday from Heinnies. The Boker Cox is designed by Danish knifemaker Jens Ansø, which work I've
been following for years. He makes some awesome OH knifes for the international market. 8)
But the non-locking, 2HO Cox with a 64mm blade is legal EDC even here in Denmark.  I've been looking for a nice folder for a long time and eventhough £136 - $216 is more than I ever have payed for a folder before, I'm extremely pleased with it.. :ahhh

Delivered in a nice box with a little sack for storing.

The handle is G10/Titanium with a N690 stainless blade.

The fit and finish is flawless so I'm going to get the bigger model Haddock as soon as I can afford it.. ;)

Overall it's certainly is worth every penny..  :tu:

Perhaps we should convince Mike to forgo the OH ability and buy one of these instead ;)
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

And the backspring snaps with a sound like a Swisstool, so your not afraid that the blade will close on you unintentionally...  :tu:  :tu:

Chunky sucker of a blade isn't it?  Very nice - I've wanted to try something in N690 for quite a while.

Me too actually, but I've been shifting a bunch of stuff on online marketplaces here or it wouldn't have been a reality this year either.. :)

Allan, this is what I'd call my Sebbie purchase. Sure it's expensive and much more than you'd ever dream of spending, but you just have to. That's how I felt and I never regretted it.  :tu:

That is exactly how I feel about it..  :tu:
I haven't been able to sleep proberly since I got the idea of getting one (or both) of the Ansø Bokers.  ::) I kept checking my profile on the marketplaces to see if there was any interest for my stuff. Luckily it seems I could have the funds for a Haddock too soon, but I am aware that I need to get rid of some things to get the funds..  :D

I've been looking at prices for a custom Haddock, but they cost three to four times as much than the Böker model so I know what I'm going for.. :)
But Ansø sure makes some beautiful custom pieces...
