Hi I'm Rob

I've had a Swiss Army Knife of some description in my pocket or bag since I was around 12 or 14 so 40 years or so. In the 1990's I discovered Multi-tool's and bought a Gerber MP400 Sport as I couldn't afford the MP600 at the time. It was a great little tool and I carried it off an on for years till the blade snapped. Never realised I could get it fixed and bought the  Bear Grylls Ultimate, which was a bit pants to be honest. Changed to a Wave plus which I really liked, the got a Surge, but wasnt happy with the build qualityband metal quality on either. Gave my Wave away and I've since bought the Victorinox Spirit XC with Ratchet Set and the quality is amazing. Love it to bits. Now I just need them to release the MXBS or do a one hand opening version of the Spirit. I also need to decide whether to buy a Swisstool X or not.

I do love Victorinox.

Happy to be here and looking forward to being a part of it all

I am a new member from Brisbane, Australia.

I have carried a SAK pocket knife for many years in the 80s.

In the early 90s I swapped the SAK for a early FPR Gerber MT with Bull nose pliers(& no tool locks) before loosing it and replacing it with a MP Gerber MT with needle nose pliers(& tool locks).

After a while I swapped this out for a  Leatherman Charge Ti. Since then there has been a number of LM Charges and now my EDC is the LM Charge TTi.

Recently I have made a few changes by swapping out the Hard-wire Cutters for the EOD Cutters as i work with stranded wire. I have also swapped out the Medium Blade Screwdriver with a Awl from Aliexpress. I have also found 2 Squirt tweezers and I now have one of them in the slot the Pocket Clip uses.

I have a list of other mods that I am looking at doing soon.

Leatherman - 4 x Charge TTi+, Charge Ti, P4, Wave+,
Wingman, 2 x Rebar , Sidekick, Skeletool, Bit Kit Set, Ratchet Driver.
Gerber - Command 1, MT Suspension
SAK - Rescue Tool, Forester
Spyderco - Cara Cara Rescue2 FRN Orange
Mora 748MG green, Companion Spark

Michael - Brisbane, Australia.

Hello everyone, new member here, will be posting my Victorinox question in the Swiss Knights section here shortly. I've had the same Swiss Champ since I was about 16, probably the first proper birthday present I ever got. More recently I acquired a Spirit X multitool and since I live in Portland, a Leatherman should soon be added to my collection for work purposes. Happy to be here and hoping to learn more.
