Cuts+More: Fiskars has new multi-scissors

Fiskars has a new multitool/scissors that looks like it would be handy.



I've grown fond of this old thing, and it looks like Fiskars has something a bit similar now. Scissors just end up getting used quite a bit in our household. I kinda like the sheath.

I suspect several people will get cut by the twine cutter and the box opener/tape cutter thing.
Otherwise it looks really cool!

I never thought the scissor/knife combo would work well, consider they work on entirely different principles.

And why would you need a twine cutter, when you have, oh I dunno, A PAIR OF SCISSORS IN YOUR HAND!

These look pretty cool. Wonder how much Gerber was involved in the design, seeing as Gerber is a division of Fiskars. The first thing I thought was it looked like something Gerber would do. Makes me wonder if Gerber didn't actually design it, but somebody decided to make is a Fiskars product instead. Hell, the look of the knife portion just screams "Gerber" to me for some reason.

Now, that's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted sturdy, all around, scissors for the kitchen, to open packages, cut leafs of silantro, salsa... All scissors I've found are or too simple -- just straight blades -- or too bloated -- like the kershaw above and others on the same style.

This looks like the perfect match, although also a little bloated for me, but can live with that.

I had once a scissor-knife "thing". Cost me 10eur. 10eur straight to the garbage. It was neither a good scissor neither a good knife.

I would rather like this scissor would not have the knife feature, but I guess/hope it won't hurt.
The separation mechanism seems equal to this poultry shears I have:
