Although I have voted for quality, reliable one hand opening where the tool will never fly out of your hand is just as important.

I voted for plier design. Although I want quality as well, when I looked for my main use multitool it had to have replaceable cutters. I work in the steel industry and my cutters get way more abuse than they should.
