Fenix Digital P1D CE

I am looking for a new EDC as my current one, my Pentagonlight L2 (thanks eodtech!) is a little too large.

I love the look of this Fenix, but as I don't know a lot about flashlights, do you think it is worth paying out the extra to get this one?

I have the P1D CE and can only say good things about it. Very small and light weight and with great output. Keep in  mind that it has a "twisty" interface. If you want a "clicky" one I'd go for the P2D CE. It's just a little bit bigger.

Yeah I think I would prefere a twisty one.  Less chance of it being switched on in my pocket.

Does anyone know much about these Q5 upgrades that you can get?

I ended up getting one of these in the end.  It was $61 inc shipping from fenix-store.com and came with the Q5 LED which has been fitted to a limited number.

The flashlight was not only great due to it's size, but what really convinced me was this review;

Check out the "Concrete tests".  Very impressive.

Just in case anyone is interested, this arrived today and the quality a brightness in amazing!!!

I'd recommend it to anyone as an EDC.

Well I have carried this every day since I have bought it and it has been used at least once a day and sometimes much more than that.  Anyway, the battery finally ran out this morning.  Not bad for just a single cell.
