They're nice

I've always called this one ...

... a Pruning Camper / Camping Pruner as I'm not aware of an official name   What's the tang stamp on it?
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Yes that was the name used most often on SOSAK, but a couple months back when I purchased one from a collector it was in a box labeled Picknicker so i used that as the US name.  Since then I've seen another labeled the same way.  So this was a bit confusing to see it in a box as Rucksack.  The Tang is: Victorinox-Switzerland-Stainless-Rostfrei / Victoria-Officier-Suisse

Bottom: Fisherman w/o Fish emblem, sm clip-point, awl, shackle...

Interesting, I've had an Elinox and a Hoffritz stamped one.  It would seem it was quite widely available and yet we see relatively few these days

Some interesting packaging.  A SwissChamp Packaged with a T-Shirt, it's amasing how much one can compress a T-Shirt.  Unfortunately I marred the plastic wrap quite a bit trying to get the knife seated properly again.

This is true, and even though my previous post had one as well, this one is on an 84mm knife (I originally incorrectly labeled it an Artisan, but its tools are more like the Huntsman-small), and it has a factory flaw or for for some reason suffered some serious pitting.  Looks to me like a manufacturing issue, so one would not have expected it to even get past qa and out of the factory.

This one is a nice little mystery.  Reminds me of Neil's mystery TeleChrome.

91mm Camper "mint" (tools and scales), exposed rivets, tools with high polish including bail.  Mysteries; caplifter with scraper, latest can-opener with no +PAT, Raked Teeth on Saw, sm pen-blade (not clippoint), main blade unused, unsharpened, with new tang Victorinox-Switzerland-Stainless-Rostfrei / <crossbow><cross>Officier Suisse. Oil looks pretty fresh, not sitting from 1950s.  Sure looks like it must have been sent to the factory for repair and they built up a new knife, and were able to assemble with new exposed rivet handles.

Hmmm... a nice mystery to have.

 Bizzare.  If its a mod then hats off to the builder  :o

Yes more likely done in Ibach.  Don't you just wish they had serial numbers so you could trace the history of them.

A serial number of course would be awesome!  I wonder if they put some stamp on a liner or somthing if they repair a knife?

I do enjoy a knife that defies the normal date characteristics.  Lovely SAK mate. :tu:
