I understand you and saddened with you  :(
I recently also worried while my holy Grail followed along the winding path from Las Vegas to Moscow. I calmed down only when I opened the package and took it.

That green s2 is sweet. I'm still hoping it shows up someday.

Juice Fans, I have a question…

I had forgotten about my Juice XE6 that I acquired when LM reintroduced this a couple years ago.

Discovered this morning  still in box, but there was not an implement detail sheet explaining the tools.

Like, I did not know it had a SAW!!! Until I read through this thread.  And the reviews LM’s retired tools.

My question is regarding the CORKSCREW and Cap lifter / CAN OPENER? Implement interaction.  (Pictured)

When I select the Corkscrew, am I suppose to move the can opener out of the way first, or is there a purpose for it to ride open on the cork screw for bracing?

I am curious, and thought best to ask here first.

TIA

I also, discovered the SAW, and learned the AWL must be out of the way first.

Interest was peaked when I found the file had one side with diamond coated surface. The scissors are not bad, as well the SE edge blade with gimping and the  Wharncliffe PE blade. 👍

PS: Now part of the club! Late but here…
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Everyone knows that I am one of the foremost ex-spurts on Leatherman tools.  It was my impression that the fold out doohingie is something that you brace on the bottle top as you pry up with the corkscrew.  Leatherman did call it an 'assisted corkscrew' or something.
In no time at all, I expect to expand my expertise to SOG tools.  Just as soon as I get one.  Best wishes.  G

When I am not caressing "my precious" multitools, I'm drinking wine... so I agree with IMR.  I would even say that a corkscrew without an associated pry-up doohingie is lame.

it's simple. you screw the corkscrew into the cork, rest the opener against the neck of the bottle and effortlessly pull out the cork, just google a video with sommelier knives, the principle is the same. Thus, the corkscrew remains unstretched and its stopper remains in good working order - these are the diseases of LM juice that have been in strong male hands :)

As a Frenchman, I must say the Juice has IMHO the best corkscrew ever put in a multitool.

Got it 👍

Deploy the cap lifter first, then the corkscrew, twist cork screw into the cork, position the the lifter edge onto the bottle and leverage out the cork.

Neat, very neat!😉 :drink:

Thank you

OK, here's what could happen tonight :

Loopcutter puts a bottle of wine on the table.
Wife : — Honey, why the fancy wine bottle ?
Loop (flustered) : — Uh, I just wanted to try…
W (all excited): — Telling me how much you love me ! Oh, aren't you the charmer !
L (busy using his new corkscrew skills on his Juice) : — Uh, yeah, that's exactly what I was doing. (lovingly) You're the best ever !
W (astonished) : Why are you talking to your multitool ?

 :D

i've been using the s2 for more than 20 years and few months ago I thought I lost it but eventually it showed up so I immediately put it in retirement...and searched for another one to put in service...so here it is but somehow i feel that i will search for couple more...you know as a backup , and when my wife asks I say that i need those to join this club..."minimum hardware requirement" to join this club is dozen juices, right? :hatsoff:

Yep a dozen sounds good :D
My fave is the CS4 which might be worth considering, they’re more common than the S2 so not as pricey

Мислам дека неколку cs4 и еден cs3 се доволни, како мојата. десетина е премногу :)
I think a couple of cs4 and one cs3 is enough, like mine. A dozen is too much :)

одлично, значи сега жена ми ке знае дека покрај два XE6 и еден S2 ми требаат и два CS4
(excellent, so now my wife will know that beside the two XE6 and one S2 i will need two CS4)
by the way second XE6 has "tool" on it, the "USA" versions are hard to come by

actually both XE6 are bought as "new old stock" ( not cheap ), the one that has "USA" stamped will be on shelf and the "tool" I started to use instead of the S2   :hatsoff:
and yes I am in a search for purple XE6 with "USA" or at least one with older style leatherman with small letters on handle but the prices on those are... :woohoo:

I've got a xe6 that says USA on the plier part. It's got a tiny chip at the tip of the pliers and it has 2 bigger springs where the 3 little springs for the flatheads should go. But if that doesn't bother you maybe we could trade something?
