Hi.

I've been lurking around this site for a couple of years, really, and finally took the plunge. Due to this I already feel somehow familiar with several users.

I'm from Portugal, in the mid-thirties, a couple of young kids and work on IT/software development, that kind of stuff.

I've been interested for multifunction tools since very young, but didn't had the funds to support that interest. My first sak-alike was given to me by my father somewhere in the 80's. It had about 4 to 6 implements I guess, and golden handles with some figures sculped. I still have it, but have no idea where it is, neither its condition. I'll keep searching in order to place a picture here.

After this, a long time passed to my interest (and €€ availability) on sak's return. About 99 I had my first SAK, the minichamp. One year later it came the swisschamp. Since then, once in a while, I get something new, but not to the extend of most of you, though.

My preferred brand was victorinox. Lately however, I developed interest on leatherman stuff. Nowadays I'm split between these two. My personal feelings is that leatherman has more powerful and practical stuff while victorinox excels in quality and design.

My two favorite pairs of tools are: minichamp vs squirt ps4 and swisschamp vs charge al.

Finally, here are some really bad pictures of my stuff. I took them at night with my cellphone camera.

Here's the drawer where I keep my stuff. That's all packed up tightly. Future updates will imply some kind of reallocation.

And the tools lined up.

Most of you should recognize this better than myself, but here it goes the listing...
disposed vertically, on top, from left to right: vic traveller, vic swisschamp
disposed vertically, bottom, from left to right: lt charge al, lt squirt ps4, vic minichamp, that vic for kids (that's for my daughter)
disposed horizontally, from top to bottom: wenger s54, vic rucksack, lt surge

Welcome

I have to say that drawer looks an awful lot like mine. I like to keep my boxes too.

Thanks for the warm welcome fellows, and cheers up.

Now, I took a moment to search and cleanup part of that huge amount of garba... stuff, stuff, that's it, that stuff yet from my single days lying around... to find my old sak-alike tool. Couldn't find it yet :( but found this, not a multitool, but ...

I thought it had been lost by my mother, but after all here it is. A nice razor. It was given to me by my, then GF, now wife.  This baby has 17 years, at least, and has been packed inside the case for a dozen or so. And it looks like new! Not a single spot of rust!

Now I'm ready... to cut myself of course. But I'll do it anyway.

PS: it is from DOVO, Solingen

Welcome "officially" aboard. I wholeheartedly agree with your Vic vs LM assessment. That straight razor is oh so sexy.
