Victorinox scissors spring replacement kit
on: November 25, 2010, 04:44:25 PM
Hi there,
So I came across a spring replacement kit for different types of Victorinox scissors. It includes a couple of dedicated tools for removing and replacing springs and a bunch of springs in different sizes (single springs and v-shaped springs). It comes in a wooden box.

Does anyone have this kit? I have seen them before but I have always wondered if it's actually worth anything  ???
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

I  would love to find something like this.. Certainly worth something to a collector of used SAKs like myself.

I have one and yes its useful but I could only advise buying one if you can get it very cheap.  Its really not hard to fit the springs with just a small pair of pliers.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

The kit in a wooden case with tools and parts cost me about $40 total including 10 for S&H. It is very easy to use and very useful if you are going to be replacing springs pretty often. The spare spring parts alone is worth it as it includes several sizes and some sizes that only fit older model SAK's.

Do you have a link where I can buy a kit?
Sometimes change is a good thing, other times not so much!

Well, I bought it on eBay from a regular seller who has these normally but none on right now. You will have to ask him if he has one. He runs them at $29.99 first bid or BIN for $39.99 plus $9 shipping. Here is an older already sold link.

He is a good seller as I have had no problems with him.

Here is a simple explanation of how the tool kit works.
