Yeah I love the black/steel combo too. I was doubting beween TTi and AL and it was the color combi that won me over.

The thing is, now I have the AL I noticed I keep looking at the TTi for my next one... maybe... :(

I also have the TTi (same as you, I got the AL first as I really liked the looks of it over the TTi), and it's a very nice Charge.  I debate with myself over which one I like better, and both have their good points.  I prefer the AL's pliers as I don't care for the cap crimper on the TTi.  Also, my AL opens more smoothly than the TTi.  However, despite those points for the AL, I still tend to choose the TTi as the one I carry in my rotation (I keep the AL in my car).  It just feels a little slimmer (it is, but barely 1mm, if that, but it just feels different) and more solid to me.  Also, while I like the looks of the AL's scales, I don't like that how the nameplate is a separate piece riveted on.  One of mine is slightly loose, not much at all, but I notice it and it bugs me.  I think it's just the titanium scales versus the aluminum of the AL.  The AL is almost too smooth in a sense (if that makes any sense ;)) and I just like the feel of the TTi a bit more. 

The funny thing is, I very possibly would never have bothered to get the TTi if it wasn't for my wife offering me a potential multitool purchase as a bribe of sorts to go on a trip with her that I didn't care to do.  I could buy any one that I wanted, and at the time I had not found this site and was somewhat uneducated in the retired Leathermans and other goodies, and hadn't been bitten by the SAK bug.  So I got the only other multitool at the time that I had considered in the past, and that was the TTi.  Can't say that I'm not glad I did :D

I recently got hold of a Charge TTi. My Kind big brother bought one for me and one for himself. I am somewhat obsessed with polishing things so it was just to start with TTi.
Titanium is hard ... But it became shiny!  :)

Now i cant leave the house without it  :D

@ Chinese buffet killer picture. for some reason it reminded me of a praying mantis. I wasn't really digging the new look of the TTi but yours has made me reconsider.

Thanks! Well most timeconsuming. You need alot of patient because each sidepiece took me over 2 hours to complete. And the pliars and the blades took some time as well. But is was worth it :)

Thanks! Yeah you are right, it does sort of resembles a mantis. I think its the angle of the hook in the photo. :cheers:

Now, the entire charge is polished, including all on tools inside  :tool:  :facepalm:
Have also installed pliers from a rebar. Grinded the angles of it to fit against the cutter. This can be seen in the pictures that the projecting parts, or "waist" is gone. Then of course I polished both pliers and the inserts  :ahhh

Honestly, I wanted to have the other design first. It is better looking in my opinion. But now I'm really happy with the new design. Took just under 20 hours of work or so to get it how I wanted it.  :drink:

Maglite, Bit-kit extender and charge all polished  :)

wow that's some serious polishing.  the results are beautiful to say the least.  mag light looks killer as well, again huge  :tu: on the work you put into this beauty.
